Ashmount

Ashmount Care Home

Ashmount is a warm, friendly and spacious care home with residential and nursing care for 49 people located in central Worthing close to the sea front.

The spacious home enjoys a pleasant, sheltered and peaceful garden where residents can enjoy fresh air and relax in the sun. The home's sunny conservatory also overlooks the mature gardens.

A full programme of activities is arranged by Ashmount's Activities Co-ordinator. These are person centred, stimulating and great fun. Activities range from traditional games, music and entertainment, crafts, quizzes, themed events and fayres. There are also a wide range of outings to the countryside, theatres and garden centres as well as personalised shopping trips and lunches in Guild Care minibuses.

Our care teams are available 24 hours a day providing as much or as little assistance as is needed.

We provide an individual tailored, person-centred assessment and care plan which is discussed with each resident and next of kin to suit their individual needs. This plan is reviewed regularly by our staff and our approach to care builds on residents’ strengths and seeks to improve their quality of life.

The home is set in a quiet residential area near the centre of Worthing within easy walking distance of the promenade.

Worthing is a large seaside town situated at the foot of the South Downs between Brighton and Chichester in West Sussex. This elegant Georgian seaside resort, 49 miles from London, has a fascinating history and links with the world or arts.

Ashmount's well appointed single bedrooms have easy access to all facilities and have individual television and telephone points. Residents often choose to bring their own memorabilia and some items of furniture to make their rooms more like home.

Ashmount has a dedicated team of staff including nurses, carers, kitchen staff, cleaners and handymen.

Our staff are carefully selected and undergo continuous training and development to ensure that they are able to meet the needs of our residents in a competent, caring and supportive manner.

All our carers are encouraged to take NVQ training courses and many continue to the highest grades.

At Ashmount a hairdresser calls twice a week and residents benefit from visits by a regular chiropodist.

Our in-house chefs prepare fresh nutritious food and provide for individual dietary requirements and preferences.
