Our approach to care |
|
With over 50 years experience of providing residential care for older people, Guild Care has developed a philosophy and an approach that ensures the care we provide is tailored to your individual needs. We respect and encourage choice, seeking to promote the independence, mobility, good health and well being of everyone living within our homes.
Staffing levels in Guild Care homes are significantly higher than in most other similar establishments both locally and nationally. Our staff are carefully selected and committed to their work. All members of the team undergo continuous training and development to ensure that they are able to meet the needs of our residents in a competent, caring and supportive manner.

Care Homes |
|
Over two hundred older people enjoy high quality care and comfort in our four Worthing homes.
All of our homes can provide both residential or nursing care and Linfield, our newest, has an 11-bed specialist dementia care unit.
Our homes provide a wide range of services and facilities details of which can be found using the links below. All have dedicated teams of Domestic and Catering staff who work alongside the Care Team to ensure the best possible service to our residents.
Food is one of the main pleasures in life whatever your age and Guild Care seeks to provide freshly prepared, appetising and nutritious food and can cater for any specialist dietary requirements.

Sheltered Accommodation |
|
|
|
31 people enjoy the security and peace of mind of sheltered accommodation at Dolphin Court. With a member of staff either on site or available through a community alarm system this form of accommodation bridges the gap between living independently and moving into residential care.
Dolphin Court comprises independent accommodation in newly-refurbished studio flats with en-suite bathrooms and modern kitchens. Home-cooked lunches are served in the dining room during the week and tenants who need extra support or assistance with household tasks such as cleaning or personal care can access Guild Care's registered Home Care Service. Dolphin Court also has a fully-assisted bathroom for the sole use of tenants.

Short Breaks or Respite Care |
|
Not everyone is looking for permanent accommodation but may simply require a short period of convalescence after an illness or stay in hospital or wanting to offer their permanent carer a break from their caring reponsibilities. Guild Care is happy to consider any request for short breaks and has dedicated beds in a number of its homes reserved particularly for this service. Bookable respite is available for Carers at Ashmount and is heavily subsidised by West Sussex County Council.

Making the Right Choice |
|
Moving from your own home to a Care Home is never an easy transition but at Guild Care we hope to make this as positive an experience as possible. We welcome your questions and are happy to allow you time to visit our homes or come for a short stay prior to making a final decision. We will give you clear, unambiguous information about the costs of the care and accommodation we offer and point you in the direction of sources of independent financial advice. If you decide to move into one of our homes we will issue you with a comprehensive contract outlining exactly what you can expect from us.

Moving to Worthing from Outside of the Area |
|
Guild Care is proud to be a charity with its roots firmly in the Worthing and surrounding areas. Our services are available to local people but we also welcome enquiries from people outside of the area who may be looking for sheltered accomodation or a Care Home to be nearer to relatives and friends.
All of our services welcome enquiries direct, and will be happy to talk to you or to arrange a visit and discussion about your needs and the likely costs of any service. Costs are based on the level of need of the person and the amount of care required. Help with costs can sometimes be arranged through your local Social Services Department or from the NHS if nursing care is required. If Social Services are unable to meet the full cost it may also be possible for families to contribute to the fees where necessary.
For a general discussion please feel free to contact our Operations Manager on 01903 528600.
