In April 2008 Guild Care launched a 75th Anniversary fundraising appeal to improve the lives of older people and children with special needs in the Worthing area. By March 2009, thanks to the support of individuals, businesses, church groups, schools and public service organisations, as well as the wonderful staff and volunteers at Guild Care, we raised an incredible £75,601!
Thank you to everyone who did their bit to help us achieve our target. The money we raised makes a real difference to our service users. Without your support we would be unable to provide vital services to older people, carers and children with disabilities and special needs. This money is being used in a variety of ways including:
- A day trip to Littlehampton for some of our care home resident (photo from front of annual review)
- A Wii fit for users of our Healthy Living Centre (photo – do we have one?)
- Music therapy sessions at our Ashdown Club for children with special needs (photo 4) and refurbishment of the Ashdown Centre itself
