Time Out for Carers

Methold House, North Street, Worthing
Thursdays and alternate Sundays: 9.30am - 3.00pm

Providing a safe and stimulating environment for people with dementia and enabling their carers to have a well earned break.

What we provide

The service provides short breaks for carers of people with dementia on Thursdays and alternate Sundays in the Healthy Living Centre at Methold House.

For those that need help with transport, our Support Workers go out in wheelchair accessible mini buses, providing continuity of care and a reassuring arm literally door to door.

Included in the service

The service provides:

Quality care and support from our trained staff and volunteer team
Excellent food - 2 course lunch, catering for special diets & tempting encouragement for reluctant eaters
Gentle exercise on offer every week
Reminiscence
Art, music, card games and dancing
Relaxing 1:1 time - use of the assisted bathroom, hand massage, hair and beauty

What we provide

Staff ensure that carers can make the most of their precious day off; ensuring that they are confident that the person they care for is respected as an individual, is well looked after and able to take part in activities they enjoy.
