Irene House

Irene House

Irene House is a warm and friendly care home providing residential and nursing care for 40 residents in Tarring village, West Worthing. The home is centred around a landscaped open courtyard with established tropical plants where residents can enjoy the fresh air and relax in the sun.

Irene House's well appointed single bedrooms have easy access to all facilities and have individual television and telephone points. Residents often choose to bring their own memorabilia and some items of furniture to make their rooms more like home.

A full programme of activities is arranged by our Activities Co-ordinator. These are person centred, stimulating and great fun. Activities range from traditional games, music and entertainment, crafts, quizzes, special themed days and fayres. There are also a wide range of outings to the countryside and garden centres, an annual coach trip to Littlehampton with volunteers and relatives, as well as personalised shopping trips and afternoon teas in our own minibuses.

Our care teams are readily available 24 hours a day providing as much or as little assistance as is needed. We provide an individual person centred assessment and care plan which is discussed with each resident and next of kin which is tailored to each individuals needs. The plan is reviewed regularly by our staff and our approach to care builds on residents’ strengths and seeks to improve their quality of life.

Irene House is nestled in a quiet residential area close to Tarring Village and just a short distance from West Worthing railway station. The home is close to a park and just a short walk from St Andrew's Church and other amenities.
