Our ‘Time Out for Carers’ service (funded by West Sussex County Council) provides a safe, stimulating and caring environment for people with dementia every Monday and Thursday at the Healthy Living Centre, Methold House, Worthing. We feel it is important for carers to have a much needed break knowing that the person they care for is enjoying the company of others with caring professionals. We can arrange for our minibuses can pick people up from home in the morning and them drop off again in the afternoon.
Our innovative programme includes fun and stimulating activities including exercise, crafts, computing, baking, flower arranging, cards, jigsaws and Boccia in a friendly supportive atmosphere and during the past year our service users have also enjoyed regular sessions with a professional music therapist as well as wellbeing therapies and assisted bathing.
