Millie Hiett celebrated her 100th birthday at Caer Gwent on Thursday 1 July. Millie was a recipient of the Royal Red Cross after the war for her services to her country.

Ashmount Dickensian Fayre

DickensianFayre Ashmount Care Home in Southey Road, Worthing held a successful Dickensian Fayre on Friday 4 December between 5 and 7pm. St Botolphs choir entertained everyone with carols and Terry Griffiths provide live music on his guitar. The home was very busy and everyone had helped with wrapped gifts and filling goodie bags for the stalls.

Residents and visitors enjoyed mulled wine, spit roast pork and mince pies whilst browsing through Christmas stalls and entering festive competitions including naming the Christmas Fairy.

Proceeds from the event was put towards entertainment and activities for the residents.
