Theresa Kerridge, a volunteer for Guild Care’s Time Out for Carers service raised £375 by walking 75 miles for the charity’s 75th Anniversary Challenge.

Theresa donned walking boots and set off on 27th March across the South Downs on a 75 mile hike over 8 days. The walk began in the pouring rain and involved a detour as water meadows on the Downs Link Way were under water. Theresa said “I have always enjoyed walking and wanted to do something to help.”

She completed the walk in good spirits having started at Shoreham on the Downs Link Way to Guildford. The South Downs stretch of the walk included St Botolphs and Bignor Hill along with Houghton and Arundel Park on Monarchs’ Way.

Theresa finished along the coastal route from Arundel, Littlehampton and along the seafront to Worthing and was greeted by friends and colleagues at the Healthy Living Centre where they surprised her with a celebratory cake to mark her achievement.
