Worthing charity Guild Care are holding a charity football match to raise funds for a new minibus for older people and carers on Sunday 10 May at the Worthing Stadium in Woodside Road.
Professional Sussex footballers including Brighton and Hove Albion players and guests, captained by Paul Rogers, will play for Guild Care Celebrity XI against a Worthing XI which will include Geoff Raynesford and Sammy Donnelly. Gates open at 11am for a 12 noon kick-off.
One of the most exciting ideas in the lead up to the match is the chance to play for either team. You can bid online at www.charityfootballmatch.com and if you’re not fit enough to play why not put in a bid to give the half time talk to the Guild Care Celebrity Team?
There is also the opportunity to bid for signed shirts – Chelsea, Brighton & Hove Albion and Worthing! If you can’t go online, contact our fundraising team on 01903 528630 for details.
Nic Willett, Fundraising Manager said “It will be a very special event for the whole family. In addition to the match family entertainment will include a bouncy castle and children’s games. There will also be stalls and a raffle as well as a licensed bar and food.”
Tickets are available at all Guild Care shops and from Methold House, North Street, Worthing £8 (adult), children over 5 and cons £4 and a family ticket (2 adults and 2 children) £20. They can also be purchased online at www.justgiving.com/celebrityfootballmatch
Guild Care is working in association with Worthing Football Club who have donated their ground for free and Football in the Community.
