During the week 14-18 November, ten local firms and their staff made donated stock worth over £3,000 to our charity shops. Liam Mills, Worthing's 7th Youth Mayor, joined businesses on Friday 18 November, wearing clothes donated from the event. In the charity’s inaugural Clearout for Christmas, collection boxes were supplied for staff to fill with donations. Participating companies included: Southern Water; HSBC Invoice Finance; Wannop Fox Staffurth & Bray; Secure Site; Lemo Connectors; Blackbelt Leaders; Russell New; Broadwater Manor and H D Tribe.

The boxes were decorated by the children and young people with disabilities who attend Guild Care’s Ashdown Centre, Goring and Ferring Rangers and children who attend local nurseries Abracadabra and Little Monkeys.
Rachael Duke, Guild Care's Fundraising Manager, said ‘We would like to say a huge thank you to all the participating companies and their staff for their generosity. All the monies raised from the sale of these fantastic donations will go towards supporting local older people and carers, particularly over the Christmas period.
'Mandy Tourle, Partner at Wannop Fox Staffurth and Bray, said ‘We were delighted to be able to contribute. The varied work Guild Care does for the community of Worthing is so important and all of us here at Wannop Fox Staffurth & Bray enjoyed the opportunity to clear our closets and support Guild Care in this way.’
