Guild Care wins ‘Charity of the Year’

Splash Awards CeremonyGuild Care were very honoured to have been voted Splash FM’s ‘Charity of the Year’ at the Awards Ceremony held at the Dome, Worthing on Thursday 19 March.

The glittering awards honoured people and businesses in 15 different categories from Charity of the Year to best New Business, Sporting Star, Lifetime Achievement and Mum and Dad of the Year. There were many worthy winners during the evening which was presented on similar lines to the Oscars with film clips shown on the screen right down to the gold envelopes. The Charity of the Year category was sponsored by Coastal Loft Conversions of Goring.

Antonia Bunnin, Chief Executive said ‘I am very proud of all our staff and volunteers who put in a tremendous effort across all our services every day of the year. This award is very special coming at the end of our 75th Anniversary year and very well deserved by our enthusiastic teams.’

Buckets were passed around on the night by SplashFM presenters Anna Bingham and Dave Hunt who collected a further £390 for Guild Care’s 75th Anniversary Appeal. Suzanne Millard, Deputy Chief Executive said “We would like to thank everyone who contributed to the collection and especially to people who voted for us. I was a spectacular evening and one which SplashFM should be very proud of.”
