Guild Care’s first ever community Flag Day started off very wet and windy, thankfully the sun came out by late morning and people had started to flock to the town centre.
‘Flagging up’ the work we do and how the public can support us was the main aim for the day and our event base was set up opposite H & M with information and freebies.
Volunteer collectors stood at various locations around the town including the Guildbourne Centre, Marks & Spencer and Morrisons Supermarket.
The total raised on the day was £252.36. The money raised will go towards our Healthy Living Programme Appeal for older people and carers.
The Fundraising team would like to thank all the volunteers, staff and trustees who helped on the day and we are hoping that next year will be a bigger and better event!
