Through the hard times and the good

November is 'Make a Will' month

07-Nov-2010

According to the latest research by Will Aid, over 60% of British people do not have a Will.

When it comes to making a Will, your first thoughts are to provide for those loved ones you leave behind, and if you can help a charity or two along the way, so much the better. At Guild Care, we really appreciate people leaving us a gift in this way as it helps our charity with the capital to set up new services.

A popular misconception by 46% of people is that they wrongly believe that if someone dies without a Will, their husband or wife or civil partner will automatically inherit all their assets and around 75% are unaware that in England and Wales marriage or re-marriage invalidates a Will.

If you are thinking of making a new Will, please remember the work we do for older people and carers.
