Seniors Tea Party

17-Nov-2010

Five residents from Ashmount and their Activity Co-ordinator Sue Hilditch attended a Senior's Tea Party by invitation from Edwina McEachran (20), from Worthing who put on the social event as part of ITVs Fixers, a campaign enabling young people to fix things for the better.

The event, on 6 November, was held at the Maybridge Community Church and her idea was to get over 60s together in her community.

The residents enjoyed the screening of Buster Keaton's 1920 film 'One Week' and enjoyed fancy tea cakes. She said 'I hope the party lifts a few spirits and promotes good charities in the area where people can do this on a regular basis.'

The programme was filmed by ITV Meridian and will be shown on 2 December between 6 and 6.30pm

More details on the project are at ITV Fixers.
