National Volunteers Week, June 1 – 7, is being celebrated at Guild Care by a series of events during the week.
The charity has over 200 volunteers who work across its services from driving minibuses to helping out in their five charity shops. ‘Volunteers are extremely valuable and we need every one of them’ said Jo Tuck, Volunteer Co-ordinator. ‘We are organising a pub lunch, craft workshop, tea party, trip to the theatre, a line-dancing/karate masterclass, pampering treats and a coffee morning during the week as a way of thanking them for their time.’
Guild Care currently require volunteers at their GreenHouse Superstore in Meadow Road, East Worthing and they are holding an Open Morning for charity shop volunteers at the store on Wednesday between 10am and 1pm.
A general volunteer recruitment event will be held on Saturday 6 June, between 10am and 3pm at Methold House, North Street, Worthing. Please visit the website for more details of how you can help or to apply on line.
