22 million people volunteer in the UK every year and 24,000 people volunteer in Worthing every year. National Volunteers' Week celebrates the contribution volunteers make. The week plays a huge part in raising the profile of the millions who regularly contribute to society, while inspiring others to get involved too.
This year Guild Care has been working in partnership with the Worthing Volunteer Centre, West Sussex Independent Living Association and other local groups and organisations to raise the profile of volunteering in the Worthing area.
During the week a display was set up in the Town Hall, an information stand was manned in the town and there were open volunteer forums held at Methold House for Guild Care volunteers.
