Do you know an older person who is spending Christmas Day alone?
Guild Care’s Healthy Living Programme still has a few places available for their Christmas Day lunch and entertainment at Methold House.
This service is available for lonely older people who will be on their own at Christmas, or couples with no additional support, who would struggle to make the day special. Simple assessments may be carried out to ensure suitability. If you know of someone who lives in the Worthing area who would appreciate a special day with a Christmas lunch and all the trimmings, gifts and entertainment, then please contact Nell Knight on 01903 528605 or email nell.knight@guildcare.org. A contribution of £13 (without transport) and £17 (including transport) is expected.
We are also inviting people to donate a small item as a gift or raffle prize. Donations please to Methold House, North Street, Worthing or please ring our Fundraising Manager on 01903 528630.
Jacquie Swindells, Manager of the Healthy Living Centre said ‘Many thanks to local businesses 3663 and Shannon’s Butchers who are supplying food for the lunch and all the Christmas trimmings and to the many volunteers who give up their time on Christmas Day to serve the lunch and drive the minibuses.’
