The 13^th glamourous ‘Not the New Year’s Eve Ball’ took place on Saturday 12^th January in aid of Guild Care.

The Ball is organised and run by Peter Kennard of HD Tribe and Derek Steel of Jacobs Steel. Held at Worthing Golf Club, 120 people enjoyed welcome drinks, an ‘All things 80’s’ three-course dinner, fundraising auction, casino and 80’s music from Synthony 101.

Peter said, “This is the 13^th year of holding this popular event and it was another great success. It’s such a fun way to support an important local charity and everyone had a good time. Derek and I would like to thank everyone who attended and those who donated lots for the auctions, without their generosity we wouldn’t have been able to raise the funds we have.”

Together as ‘D & P Fundraising’ Peter and Derek have raised over £6,000 for Guild Care at this event alone.

Guild Care’s Chief Executive, Suzanne Millard, said, “The support we receive from Peter and Derek is fantastic. The funds raised from this evening will go a long way in helping over 3,000 local children and adults every year. Guild Care provides over 30 services to the people of Worthing and surrounding areas, including support to children and adults with learning difficulties and complex needs, reducing loneliness in older people and support for those living with dementia (including their carers). We are so grateful for Peter and Derek’s generous and continued support in keeping these services running.”
