Thank you to Tarring Priory Bowls Club who raised £397 for Guild Care through a charity night on Friday 17th July.

The event consisted of six triples competitions between members of the club followed by a raffle and a well-deserved meal of fish and chips, which was supplied at a reduced price by Worthing Fisheries of George V Avenue.

The club presented the cheque to our Trust and Foundations Fundraising Officer, Alison Laurie, last week. She said: “We couldn’t be more thankful to Tarring Priory Bowls Club for what they’ve done for our charity. Support from the local community is always appreciated, but even more so during these difficult times. Thank you.”

The money raised will specifically be put towards our Ashdown Centre, which provides respite care for families with children and young adults who have learning disabilities and other complex needs. Currently the Ashdown Centre is running a virtual summer holiday programme, with Zoom sessions featuring live entertainers and workshops taking place over the next few weeks.
