We would love to have some Activities Volunteers to help at our Fitzalan Howard Centre and Birkdale Centre.

The Fitzalan Howard Centre is for adults with disabilities and more complex needs. Each weekday we have different activities going on for clients to participate in, such as art, drama and cooking.

The Birkdale Centre provides day and respites services for up to 12 adults with learning disabilities and more complex needs and their families. A higher staff-to-user ratio ensures a good level of support with a sensory room and soft environment for exercise or quiet reflection and a garden with a summer house for arts and crafts activities.

If you have an understanding of the needs of adults with disabilities, this would be great. However, the most important thing for this role is having a sense of fun as well as the patience to support people doing things in their own time.

If you are interested in the role, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator via our online form.
