We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Session Leader who wants to make a real difference to the lives of children and young people attending the Ashdown Centre.

The Ashdown Centre provides respite from caring for families of children and young people with special needs and disabilities. The Ashdown Club (5 - 12) is open every Saturday and during the summer holidays and Ashdown Youth Club (12 - 18) is open every Wednesday from 6pm to 9pm and the first Sunday of every month from 10am - 4pm. Ashdown also offers an 'Out and About' service which offers short respite breaks for children aged 5 - 14 with disabilities and their siblings one Sunday a month. Additionally, Ashdown has its 'Extra' service every Thursday 6.30pm to 9pm for young adults between the ages of 18 - 30.

As a Session Leader you will ensure we provide a stimulating, safe and well-presented environment for our users. You will also be expected to support the Centre Management in the daily running of all our services.

To be successful you must be able to demonstrate the ability to focus on delivering a good quality customer and person centred service for all our Centre users and carers in line with legislative, regulatory and Guild Care Standards. You need to evidence strong interpersonal skills with the ability to support and listen. Ideally the right candidate will have experience of working with Children and Young People with PMLD.
