Fees and funding

Families are eligible to access short breaks funded services if they receive (or would be eligible if applied) for the middle or high rate care component of Disability Living Allowance (DLA).  Self-Assessment forms are available from Ashdown Centre on request if you do not already receive DLA.

This service is supported by West Sussex County Council funding and other generous sponsors enabling these special days to generally be available at no extra cost to families other than the standard session fee.

"Ashdown Youth Group enables us as a family to have more quality time, in the happy knowledge that our daughter is having a fantastic evening with her peer group and lovely carers.  Dropping our daughter off gives us such a lovely feeling of normality, and when we pick her up later she always has the biggest smile!  Having somewhere that caters for her needs, and is fun and accessible, has made Ashdown a real part of our lives." Jessie, mother of youth club member
