Community services Learning disabilities Children with learning disabilities Ashdown Youth Club Ashdown Youth Club, which is run by our Ashdown Centre, is available to teenagers aged from 12-18 with learning disabilities and more complex needs. What do we offer? The sessions offer themed and age appropriate structured activities with opportunities for socialisation The young people who attend choose all the activities themselves including at least one outing every month Parents and carers can pick and choose sessions every three months The sessions operate on a first come, first served basis, with twelve places available each session When does it run? Where to find us Ashdown Centre, 6-8 Ashdown Road, Worthing, West Sussex, BN11 1DF Fees and funding Families are eligible to access short breaks funded services if they receive (or would be eligible if applied) the middle or high rate care component of Disability Living Allowance (DLA). Self-Assessment forms are available from Ashdown on request if you do not already receive DLA. This service is supported by West Sussex County Council funding and other generous sponsors. This support enables these special days to be available at no extra cost to families other than the standard session fee.
