Could you declutter before Christmas and support Guild Care? Like most people, you probably have things in your home that you’re ready to see the back of, be it clothing, shoes, furniture or old toys. But alas, you just haven’t gotten round to clearing them out yet. Why not give your belongings a second life whilst helping to raise funds for charity by donating them to Guild Care in time for Christmas? With all the chaos that the approaching holiday period brings, the amount of items donated to charity shops can dwindle. With this in mind, we are asking people to make sure to donate their unwanted items to a Guild Care charity shop in the run-up to the festive season. Our charity shops help fund 30+ services which support over 3,000 local people each year. We strive to create communities where everyone matters. Guild Care has had a retail presence on the high street for over 40 years. We now have 11 shops across Worthing and its surrounding areas at which you can donate your high quality items. These locations include Worthing’s town centre, Rustington, Findon and two superstore and donation centres in East Worthing and Littlehampton. These superstores are a one-stop-shop, offering everything from homeware to value-for-money furniture, electrical goods, sports equipment, clothes, toys, games and much more. As well as being packed with bargains, both superstores have accessible donation centres on site where you can park up and unload your donations directly to a member of staff who will happily take them off your hands. You can find The Greenhouse at Unit 2, Meadow Road Depot, Meadow Road, East Worthing, West Sussex, BN11 2SA and the Littlehampton Superstore at 2-4 Duke Street, Littlehampton, BN17 6EU. All Guild Care shops are open seven days a week. Adam Rider, Guild Care’s Director of Retail, said: “As the excitement of Christmas begins, you may start to think about clearing some space and giving away your unwanted things to give you more space and peace of mind, especially with the gift filled season around the corner. Rather than take your things to the recycle centres or place in the land fill, consider an alternative. At our Guild Care charity shops, we welcome your donations of pre-loved and pre-used goods that can have a second life and could even be someone’s Christmas gift this year!” Having high quality items in our shops helps us to compete on the high street by allowing shoppers to find great deals. So, make the pre-holiday period the time to declutter and make room for any potential guests and exciting gifts you receive! Head down to one of our 11 charity shops and unload your unwanted items - you might just find a bargain at the same time!
