23rd September 2019

On Saturday 21st September three brave souls took part in a sponsored skydive for Guild Care.

The three adrenaline junkies – Steve Barrett-Peel, Julie Thompson, and Janet Webb – joined GoSkydive at Old Sarum Park in Salisbury to take part in the tandem skydive. Strapped to instructors, the participants jumped from a plane at 15,000 feet. They enjoyed up to 60 seconds of free fall before safely parachuting to the ground.

Steve Barrett-Peel said: “What an experience skydiving was! An adrenaline rush - I was filled with nerves and excitement and it was truly one of the most amazing things I have ever done. In fact, as soon as I’d done it I wanted to go again!

“I chose to support Guild Care because as a local resident I wanted to raise money for an organisation that helps the local community. Guild Care has a wide range of services that support people from childhood to those golden years, so they were a perfect choice.”

You can still support Steve, Julie, and Janet via their JustGiving pages - the deadline for sponsorship is Saturday 26th October.
