Our home has a high staff-to-resident ratio, with a versatile team built around resident’s needs. As well as providing around-the-clock nursing care, we have dedicated health & wellbeing coordinators who deliver regular and stimulating activities catered to individuals’ interests.

The role

We are looking for a care supervisor on either a full or part time basis, to join our team at Caer Gwent. The role of the care supervisor is to be a role model for quality, person-centred care. You will provide supervision, coaching and mentoring to other colleagues. As part of this, you will have responsibility for allocating care staff to sections, prioritising care and overseeing care staff breaks effectively when required.

You will ideally have experience in a similar role and preferably hold an NVQ level 2 in health and social care or higher. You will also have opportunities to cover senior care assistant shifts when required.

Experience of working in a care environment

Experience of providing personal care

NVQ level 2 in care

Satisfactory DBS check

Experience of supervising colleagues

NVQ level 3 in care

Experience in palliative support.

As this is a role that involves directly caring for our vulnerable clients, residents, and family members, you will need to provide evidence that you have been vaccinated against Covid, before starting your new role as per our company policy.
