You will feel like part of a family when you join us as a Care Assistant at Caer Gwent. You will provide person-centred support for our residents that requires empathy and compassion, respecting that feelings matter the most.

You will assist in the delivery of effective day-to-day care which is responsive to individuals’ needs, and in accordance with Guild Care policies and procedures and the principles of best practice. You and your co-workers will help each other get things done, whilst getting the chance to talk and learn about each other.

About our Caer Gwent nursing home

Caer Gwent combines superb residential living with 24-hour expert nursing care, supporting individuals with complex health conditions, particularly focusing on palliative (i.e. end of life) support.

Our home has a high staff-to-resident ratio, with a versatile team built around residents’ needs. As well providing around-the-clock nursing care, we have dedicated Health & Wellbeing Coordinators who deliver regular and stimulating activities catered to individuals’ interests.

Opened in 1988 by the Earl of March, Caer Gwent is an elegant care home set in a quiet residential area of Worthing. Our home features spacious and airy surroundings, beautiful furnishings and well-tended landscaped gardens.

Job description

£8.75 - £9.90 per hour, depending on experience and shifts worked

Full time (up to 36 hours per week), part-time and bank (as and when required) hours available

8am-2pm, 2pm-8pm, and 8am-8pm
