Our home has a high staff-to-resident ratio, with a versatile team built around residents’ needs. As well providing around-the-clock nursing care, we have dedicated Health & Wellbeing Coordinators who deliver regular and stimulating activities catered to individuals’ interests.

As a registered nurse at Caer Gwent you will really get to know your care home residents, putting individuals’ choices and preferences at the heart of all you do. Doing so creates the sense that you are all living together within a safe environment.

We want to give our Nursing Team the time to support someone’s wellbeing, both emotionally and physically. It is truly a multidisciplinary role working with GPs, OTs, Physios, Care & Support staff, families and, most importantly, the individual’s themselves.

Job description

As a Registered Nurse the post holder will comply with standards of professional practice/conduct and maintain valid registration with the NMC in order to practice. It is the post holder’s responsibility to ensure they are both familiar and adhere to these requirements.

To assess, plan, implement and evaluate care of residents using evidence-based practice. To ensure a high standard of nursing care is provided for residents, taking charge of the Home in the absence of the Manager.
