We are currently seeking an experienced and proven Deputy Care Home Manager (Resources) who has extensive interviewing experience, can nurture a team, and who has excellent communication skills. You will be an important member of the Senior Management team and be responsible for providing management, support, and direction to the care services at the home. As part of the duties that you will be required to perform, you will be asked to work flexibly to cover senior care or care shifts as needed.

In the absence of the manager, the Deputy Manager (Resources) will take over the overall responsibility of the home. It is also your responsibility to plan, assess, implement, and evaluate the care of our residents based on evidence-based practices.

You are responsible for ensuring all new staff members are safely and effectively inducted into their roles and achieve Guild Care's and Skills for Care's induction requirements within their probationary period. To ensure that rotas are managed effectively, the Deputy Manager (Resources) will work with both the Homes Administrator and Recruitment Team. 

Job Requirements

Essential

Experience of working with older people within a care home setting

Minimum Level 3 Diploma/NVQ in Health and Social Care or equivalent

Experience of coaching and mentoring others in care practice

The post holder must be able to provide a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service check

Desirable

Management experience

Knowledge of skills for care certificate

Experience of recruiting and inducting care staff

Demonstrates awareness of Dementia

Approved First Aid Certificate
