Congratulations to Diana, 88, a resident at our Haviland House dementia care home who became a great-grandmother for the third time in July!

The fantastic news was shared with Diana by a member of staff who showed her pictures of new baby Leo.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and restrictions on visitors to care homes, the two have not been able to meet in person yet. Baby Leo lives in Greater Manchester with his mum, Sarah, Diana’s granddaughter. They are unsure as to when they will be able to visit as they live so far away so they sent her a special letter instead.

Diana read out the letter, which said: “My mummy Sarah and I are doing really well and very much want you to know that we send you all the love in the world. We hope that once day soon we’ll come to see you for a big warm cuddle all together. Big kisses.”

With a big beaming smile Diana commented on the letter and upon seeing the pictures of Leo added: “Isn’t that nice, what wonderful beautiful photos. He’s lovely.”

We really hope that the three generations of the family, Sarah, Leo and Diana can be united very soon.
