The role

We are looking to appoint an IT Support Technician to provide support to our staff, volunteers, and Trustees across all of Guild Care’s sites.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing 1st/2nd line support, ensuring all issues are resolved or escalated in a timely fashion.
  • Setup, configure and maintain all equipment and user accounts.
  • Ensure all details are kept up to date in the Asset database and documentation
  • Provide one-to-one and group-based training sessions to allow staff to be more self-sufficient
  • Identify and remedy on-going and potential issues, escalating where necessary.

 

Who you are?

 You will have experience of working in an IT Support role with:

  • The ability to communicate professionally, clearly and convey complex technical information to non-technical staff
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills and be able to manage your own workload efficiently and effectively.
  • Have a full driver’s licence and own car to allow travel between Guild Care’s sites.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft technologies such as Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and Teams.
  • Ability to setup, configure and troubleshoot networks (experience with Cisco and Meraki equipment beneficial)
  • Strong problem-solving skills

 

Whilst this job is mainly based on office hours it is essential that you can work evening and weekends, sometimes with little advanced notice to carry out work to minimise downtime.
