25th December 2018

The Mayor and Mayoress of Worthing enjoyed their Christmas Day lunch on 25th December with over 50 people at Guild Care’s Bradbury Centre.

The centre which usually supports people living with dementia in the community opened its doors on Christmas Day to support older people in the local area who would otherwise be alone.

Many of the people who enjoyed their Christmas Day at the Bradbury Centre said it had made a real difference. Jim said; “This has made all the difference in the world, plenty of kindness and the staff couldn’t have been better.”

Ron added: “It enabled me to get out of the house as I had no-where else to go. I had a really good time.”

Another person added: “I felt much better socialising with other people in a similar situation to me. It was fantastic and I’m so grateful to Guild Care."
