Visiting Care Homes: Post 19th July The government’s guidance says that visiting to and out of care homes should be allowed to happen wherever it can be done safely. Currently, transmission rates of COVID-19 in the community are high. Whilst Guild Care aims to support and facilitate visiting wherever possible, we must balance this against managing and mitigating any risks to our residents and staff. Visiting our care homes is determined by practical considerations such as the layout of the home and the numbers of residents and families who wish to visit. Whilst limits on the number of named visitors for each resident has now been lifted, in practice the frequency of visits is limited by setting-specific constraints. In this context, Guild Care will continue to operate a simple booking / appointments system to enable visits. Ad hoc or unannounced visits will not be possible. By continuing to follow the guidelines Guild Care already has in place for visits to and out of our care homes, you can help reduce the risk of passing on the virus during a visit, keeping your loved ones, other residents, and staff safe. If you think one our care homes are not following visiting guidance, please raise the matter with the home. Thank you for your continued support and co-operation.
