Guild Care opened its first charity shop more than 40 years ago. We now have 11 charity shops selling a wide variety of items including second-hand and new furniture, vintage clothes, bric-a-brac, books, and children's toys. Money raised from the charity shops goes towards running our vital community services for people of all ages.

We are opening a new store in Horsham, our shop will be opening very soon, we are looking for a team of retail assistants to support our new growing store. This will be an exciting opportunity to be part of an evolving team. 

Experience of working with volunteers, cash handling and the charity shop sector are desirable.

Interviews to be held locally or via Microsoft teams.   


  • The post holder must be literate and numerate
  • To have a flexible attitude to work
  • To have the ability to undertake reasonable lifting duties
  • To demonstrate good customer service skills
  • The post holder must be able to provide a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service 


  • Experience of handling cash
  • Experience of working in a Charity / Retail shop
  • Experience of working towards targets
  • Basic IT skills
