Support Worker (Learning Disabilities & Complex Needs)

  • Location: Worthing, West Sussex
  • Hours: 37.5 hours (including 1-2 Saturdays or Sundays a month)
  • Payrate: Monday-Friday £10.70 per hour, Saturday £11.24 per hour, Sunday £11.77 per hour

 

What is the role? 

In this rewarding position within our Learning Disability Services, you will play a crucial role in supporting and befriending children and adults with learning disabilities.

Working closely with the service manager, you will facilitate meaningful activities, provide direct care, and ensure a safe and stimulating environment for individuals with complex needs.

Your responsibilities will include...

  • administering medication
  • maintaining regular contact with service users
  • contributing to service quality monitoring and audits

This role will sit across any three of our services:

·       Fitzalan Howard Centre – a day and respite service for adults with disabilities and complex needs (Mondays to Fridays, 09:00 to 16:00)

·       Birkdale Centre - a day respite service for adults with learning disabilities and more complex needs and their families (Mondays to Fridays, 09:00 to 16:00)

·       Ashdown Club – a weekend and school holidays service for children aged 5-18

Full-time staff are asked to dedicate one or two Saturdays a month to the Ashdown Club. This time can be taken out of their regular working week.
