About Linfield House

Linfield House is a residential and nursing care home that includes two dementia suites. We promote independent living, providing residents with the support and person-centred care that they need to flourish.

Our home has a high staff-to-resident ratio, with a versatile team built around residents' needs. As well as providing around-the-clock nursing care, we have dedicated Health & Wellbeing Coordinators who deliver regular and stimulating activities catered to individuals' interests.

The role

We are looking for a Team Leader to assist in the management and supervision of a small team of care and support workers, providing person centered care and support to people with dementia in a specialist residential setting.

You will lead a small team of staff to create a homely environment for residents.

You will be responsible for ensuring that staff are effectively deployed to meet the needs of people with dementia; achieved through safe, effective and caring day to day care and support provision, which is well led and responsive to individuals’ needs, in accordance with Guild Care policies and procedures and the principles of best practice.

Job description

Essential

QCF Level 3 Diploma in health and social care, including dementia care units or an equivalent qualification or a commitment to work towards it

Previous experience in providing care and support to individuals with dementia in a residential setting

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Satisfactory DBS check

Desirable

Experience of shift leading

Experience of supervising others

Experience of administering medication

Understanding of mental capacity and deprivation of liberty safeguards

Understanding of the Care Act 2014 and CQC regulatory framework

As this is a role that involves directly caring for our vulnerable clients, residents, and family members, you will need to provide evidence that you have been vaccinated against Covid, before starting your new role as per our company policy.
