If you have enthusiasm, energy, and the ability to make visitors feel welcome, this could be the perfect volunteering role for you.

We are looking for volunteers to help meet and greet Linfield House and Caer Gwent’s visitors.

Caer Gwent is an elegant care home set in a quiet residential area of Worthing, which combines superb residential living with 24-hour expert nursing care, supporting individuals with complex health conditions, particularly focusing on palliative care. Linfield House is a residential and nursing care home that includes an 11-bed dementia suite.

We are looking for volunteers to help meet and greet Caer Gwent’s visitors. Specifically, the role will involve:

  • Coordinating and booking relative visits,
  • Meeting and greeting visitors
  • Supervising COVID-19 Lateral Flow Device (nose and throat swab) testing - full training will be provided

Given that the role will involve basic administration, knowledge of using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel) is essential, as is the understanding of the paramount importance of confidentiality.

The role will also require the volunteer to be quite mobile around the home’s buildings, so it would really suit active people.

Those successfully placed into the role will receive a Covid-19 vaccination if they have not already.

If you are interested in the role, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator via our online form.
