How we help Learning disabilities Children with learning disabilities Ashdown Centre The health and wellbeing of the people who come into contact with our services is of the upmost importance to us. Due to the continuing COVID-19 situation, as of Monday 23rd March we will be suspending our Ashdown Centre and its services until further notice. More information can be found here. The Ashdown Centre provides respite care for families with children and young adults who have learning disabilities and other complex needs. It offers stimulating and fun sessions for more than 100 families in Worthing and its surrounding areas on the weekends, during school holidays and some evenings. Our highly trained and experienced staff members create a caring and safe environment for the centre’s attendees, who have a wide range of needs. These needs are physical, developmental, educational, sensory, behavioural and psychological, including autistic spectrum disorders, cerebral palsy, Down’s syndrome, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). A number of services for different age groups are based at the Ashdown Centre.
