How we help Learning disabilities Children with learning disabilities Ashdown Centre The Ashdown Centre provides respite care for families with children and young adults who have learning disabilities and other complex needs. It offers stimulating and fun sessions for more than 100 families in Worthing and its surrounding areas on the weekends, during school holidays and some evenings. Our highly trained and experienced staff members create a caring and safe environment for the centre’s attendees, who have a wide range of needs. These needs are physical, developmental, educational, sensory, behavioural and psychological, including autistic spectrum disorders, cerebral palsy, Down’s syndrome, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). A number of services for different age groups are based at the Ashdown Centre.
