Transport service

Transport is a vital part of our work in reducing isolation and improving the health and wellbeing of older people in the community.

Connecting local people to our services is the important role of our dedicated transport team. It enables local people who cannot drive or may not be confident about leaving their home to easily access Guild Care’s range of services.

This affordable door-to-door service makes 480 passengers journeys each week and our fleet of nine minibuses travel around 63,000 miles in total during the year.

First established in the 1960s, our community transport service the fleet of nine wheelchair accessible minibuses. Last year they made thousands of journeys, bringing people to and from their homes to our services in comfort.

Our dedicated team of staff and volunteer drivers are fully trained to provide you with a safe and caring service.

How often does the service run?

The service runs weekdays, evenings and for weekend outings for uses of our day centre and dementia care services, as well as residents at our care homes.

How much does it cost?

For prices and availability please contact our Customer Service Team on 01903 327327 or use our online form.

"The drivers are always so friendly and polite and they look after us all so well. It’s more than just giving me a lift, this service prevents me from being isolated. I couldn’t ask for more." Doreen, Guild Care day centre user
