Compassion, skill and expertise

As a charity we have been serving our community for nearly a century.

Our team of highly trained carers and clinical teams are committed to delivering high quality, person-centred care, with compassion, skill and expertise.

For people, not profit

Our not-for-profit status allows us to invest all our income into our services and facilities and offer market leading staffing levels to provide time to care.

Nobody should feel isolated

Becoming part of the Guild Care family means joining a community that cares for the most vulnerable among us in the most empowering way. A place where friendships flourish, and people feel loved and supported every day.

Connection and relationships are at the core of our approach, and we strive to make every experience exceptional.

A forever home

We offer a full range of expert care services that adapt to deliver the right level of care as needs change to offer stability, peace of mind and a forever home for all.

Our people make all the difference

Some of our people have been with us for over 30 years, giving our residents a strong sense of stability and continuity and reinforcing the feeling that they’re part of a loving family.  As a values-driven charity, everything Guild Care does is guided by our BELIEF values – Brave, Engaging, Loving, Integrity, Everyone Matters, and Free to be me.

Guild Care is about people. Investing in our people ensures they always have the most up to date training, access to the latest technology through our digital care platform, and a desire for continuous improvement, so they can provide the best possible care.

Time to care

Our not-for-profit status means that we are different to our corporate competitors. Not having shareholders to satisfy allows us to invest all our income into our services and facilities and offer market leading staffing levels to provide time to care, so everyone benefits from more quality one-to-one time.

Whether that’s simply to chat over a cup of tea, or to deliver our wide range of wellbeing activities – from music, exercise and movement to arts, quizzes and reminiscence – it’s in those small moments that our team can bring joy to our residents, helping them to live well, enjoy life and love every day.

A focus on wellbeing

Our homes are all individually designed with a luxurious yet welcoming feel, to create a sense of familiarity and independence. From the delicious nutritious food we serve, to the daily wellbeing activities we provide, our residents are at the heart of everything we do.

Activities are a central part of life in our care homes. We encourage residents to take part in as much meaningful activity as possible, knowing the positive difference it can make to their physical and mental wellbeing. Our activity programmes are meticulously planned by our health and wellbeing co-ordinators and tailored to the needs and preferences of each resident.

A wide range of activities

We offer a wide range of activities for our residents to enjoy ranging from arts and crafts that promote and inspire creativity, to chair yoga that provides vital physical activity, stimulation and social interaction, to pet therapy to reduce stress and improve mood.

For people living with dementia, we focus on activities that help with reminiscence, provide sensory stimulation, and give a sense of purpose.

Delicious, nutritious food

Providing our residents with nutritious and delicious meals is something we take great pride in. Our dedicated team of specialist caterers work closely with local suppliers to ensure that all of the ingredients used in our catering are sourced as locally as possible, supporting local farmers and reducing food miles as much as possible.

Dietary needs including vegetarian or vegan diets, medically advised diets, food allergies and intolerances are all catered to. In order to develop our varied menus across all three homes, our chefs engage regularly with our residents to gain feedback.
