Trusts and Foundations

Over the years, the generosity of Charitable Trusts and Foundations has played a pivotal role in helping us to shape and deliver our services.

With over 30 services on offer, we always have a wide range of different activities, items and services in need of funding. Whatever the value, each gift is so important and means we can continue offering and developing our life-changing services to people living within Worthing and the surrounding areas.

Some recent examples of the support we have received form Charitable Trusts and Foundations include:

  • £1,000 from the W G Edwards Charitable Foundation to fund reminiscence software in our centres for older people
  • £3,000 from the Richard Radcliffe Trust, supporting our day services for adults with learning disabilities and other complex needs
  • £5,000 from the Three Oaks Trust towards our Time out for Carers service
  • £10,500 from Ernest Kleinwort for our Ashdown Centre, supporting children and young people with learning disabilities and other complex needs
  • £12,500 from the Childwick Trust to fund eight weeks of free, bookable respite care for people living with dementia
  • £42,000 from the Valerie Emily Munday Day Centre Trust towards a new wheelchair accessible minibus for our day centre for older people
  • £440,000 of National Lottery funding from the Big Lottery Fund to re-develop part of Guild Care's headquarters, which will help in delivering new vital community lifeline services

Our Trusts and Foundations Officer, Alison Laurie, would welcome the opportunity to speak to you about our work, or invite you to visit one of our many services. Please contact her on 01903 528613 or contact us here.
