Claims.co.uk, an internet based personal injury claims service, has donated £500 to Guild Care.

The company regularly donates money to charities across the UK, having provided tens of thousands of pounds of fundraising for worthwhile projects. These charities include Children Today, Shine, and the Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice. Additionally, Claims.co.uk sponsored the Cerebra Children’s Awards, which celebrates the achievements of children with life-changing brain injuries.

The donation will be put towards our 85th Anniversary Minibus Appeal. This appeal aims to help us replace a minibus, allowing us to continue providing transport for service users who cannot drive or may not be confident about leaving their home alone to easily access Guild Care’s help. Additionally, these vehicles allow service users to be taken out on day trips and visits.

Last year, our fleet of buses undertook 25,000 journeys across 63,000 miles. Unfortunately, this level of usage means that at about ten years of age, the buses become expensive to run and spend more time in the garage rather than helping people.

Michelle Sidney, Guild Care’s Head of Fundraising, said, “We are so grateful to Claims.co.uk. Without the support of generous organisations such as themselves, we wouldn’t be able to provide as much invaluable help and support to local children and adults in need.”
