'Providing the Jam’ is a story of the visually impaired community  of Worthing, written by local authors Chris Hare and Lela Tredwell.

It is now available to buy from Guild Care charity shops with proceeds of the sale going to the charity.

Co-author Chris Hare commented, “The book charts the determination and fortitude of blind and partially sighted people, and their supporters, and the changing attitudes towards them throughout the 20th Century.

"We also chart the story of the organisation that would become Sight Support Worthing and discover how they overcame many challenges, both local and national, to continue their vital work of providing comfort to the visually impaired people of Worthing.”

Costing just £5, Sight Support Worthing will donate £2 of every copy sold to Guild Care to support our community services.
