It was a happy Easter for family members who enjoyed a fun-filled day with plenty of treats.

In these times of difficulty, it could have been easier to ignore the festivities, but a lockdown wasn’t going to stop staff and family members at our Haviland House care home from celebrating Easter in (eggs)ceptional style.

The team made sure this was a special day for all five households and pulled out all the stops to guarantee a fun-filled day for everyone.

Family members enjoyed Easter songs of praise and prayers as well as a full Easter Service of Remembrance for our Angmering household.

It was hard to find a member of staff who wasn’t sporting a fetching pair of bunny ears as they brought the cheer to all our households and had a blast doing so.

Creative juices were flowing as family members took part in an Easter bonnet competition and produced a fabulous assortment of themed bonnets, which saw the lovely Gordon take home the glory.

But the fun didn’t stop there, with the Easter bunny and his trolley of treats delivering an egg to every family member, truly making it an (eggs)tra special Easter for everyone.

One team member who helped bring the Easter cheer was Butterfly Support Worker, Paul Hewett.

Paul said: “I couldn't have felt prouder to be at work today during this incredibly difficult and challenging time. It was a great shift and a wonderful Easter was had by all.”
