A large part of the joy of spending time at Findon Place is discovering for yourself the beautiful gardens that surround it. One of the first things you'll encounter are our majestic line of trees and the high hedges that line our drive leading to our main entrance. Then you’ll discover the Great Lawns that are all south facing that then lead on to various Walled Gardens, each of which have a different feel and use.

The Walled Flower Garden, entered through a covered arch with a beautifully scented white jasmine in the summer, is planted with traditional English country garden borders filled with seasonal interest and at their very best with multiple varieties of peonies, roses, lavenders and dahlias. This garden is a wonderful place for eating and drinking with a garden kitchen and a covered pergola for dining under.

Our heated swimming pool sits in the garden next door with another pergola that provides some shade when one needs it. Beyond the swimming pool an ornamental yew allee which is also a wonderful space to celebrate in.

We also have a working kitchen garden, complete with cutting garden, ornamental vegetable patch and a wonderful herb garden. The tennis court is here too, also available to you and your guests. And beyond the formal gardens, the woods and parkland are all accessible for a walk or a picnic not to mention a stroll along the Monarch’s Way or up to Cissbury Ring.
