About Darren, the leader of Extra Club

“Hello, I am the activity coordinator at Fitzalan Day Centre and will be leading Extra. The club will be a completely new venture with new ideas but keeping the best bits about the old club. I am very excited about the club and want everyone who comes to have a brilliant time mixing with their friends and enjoying the activities we provide. I have worked at the day centre for over 13 years and love my job which is providing rewarding activities for people who come to Fitzalan. Before joining Guild care I worked mostly in Tourism, my first job was as a Redcoat at Butlins where I learnt a lot about having fun and interacting with people, after Butlins I worked for Cosmos Holidays as a children Rep in various resorts around Europe, one of my main roles was to provide an activity programme for teenagers and feel many of these activities can be used in the new social club. I have also worked and lived in London and feel in the future there are many attractions we can visit with the new club, So I look forward to making lots of new friends and having a great time with our fantastic new club.”
