Guild Care had the pleasure of attending the opening ceremony of the Worthing Observation Wheel on Friday 22nd July.

Adur & Worthing Councils invited local 'heroes' from the community to be the first to ride the attraction. Representing Guild Care was Andrada who works at our Ashdown Centre, service user Cyril who has raised £1,400 for us this year, and longstanding volunteers Jacki (three years) and Mary (30 years).

Cyril, 84, was one the oldest people on the first official ride joked that he might need a parachute! Jacki said, “Every volunteer deserves to be recognised. It was wet and windy but there was a lot of fun and laughter. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and am very grateful for the experience.”
