Guild Care’s choir is looking for new members. The group, which meets every Wednesday at the Guild Care Centre from 3.15pm to 4.15pm, currently has the capacity for five more members.

The friendly group welcomes singers of any level. The main goal of the choir is to have fun and to socialise. Everyone gets a cup of tea and a biscuit beforehand!

John, a member of the choir, said, “We are always pleased to welcome new members who can join us and have the pleasure in singing a wide range of musical items such as light opera, folk songs and a range of traditional pieces. I have always been involved in singing and I still find it a rewarding experience to have the opportunity to sing from a popular repertoire of songs.

“Many of the group have sung in their earlier years and find it very rewarding to still have the opportunity of being able to sing from a choice of popular numbers.”
