A nostalgic night of 60’s music has raised over £2,500 for our charity.

Held in Bognor Regis for over a decade, ‘Back to the 60's’ made its Worthing debut on Saturday 7th March at the Charmandean Centre. The swinging 60’s extravaganza transported its audience of over 200 people back to the golden age of pop, featuring artists The Fenmen with Pat Winn, Dave Harris from The Concords, The HB Band, Mike Read, Sweeney Todd and special guest, Jenna Hall.

The event’s organiser, Guild Care Trustee Percy Nowell, said: “It was a wonderful evening. During the night I was transported from today's world back to an era that I loved so much when I first got involved with music and entertainment.

“So many people made the show the success it was. There are too many to mention individually, but to name but a few: the bands who all worked together as a team, the Guild Care team, our stage and sound crew from GB Music, and the staff at the Charmandean. Thank you.”

Special thanks also go to the event sponsors Wall Bros Carpets, Arrow Taxi Group and Ian Hart Funeral Service. Additionally, Santander kindly matched the amount raised via the raffle on the night, donating over £550.

All funds raised on the night will be put towards our Ashdown Centre. The centre runs a range of services that provide respite from caring for families with a child or young adult who has a learning disability or other complex needs.
