We want to give a big thank you to Morrisons who donated 80 cream teas to our Haviland House dementia care home.

Alison Whitburn, Community Champion for Morrisons in Littlehampton, brought in scones, cakes, jam and double cream which were enjoyed by Haviland's residents and staff.

She explained: “We put a post out on Facebook saying we wanted to give something back to people who were celebrating the 75th anniversary of the end of WW2 and Haviland House got in touch to say that they had enjoyed some special ‘themed’ activities with their residents.”

Haviland House staff accepting the tasty treats

Accepting the tasty treats on behalf of Haviland, Eileen Garbutt, the nursing home's Wellbeing and Activity Coordinator, said: “This really is so kind and generous and we can’t thank you enough. Our residents had a great time getting dressed up, dancing and singing to celebrate both VE and VJ day.”
